The software is easy to use. Questions are clear and do a good job of guiding through the various tax topics. The help topics I consulted also had clear and useful information. The one issue I found is that if you have an ID protection PIN through the IRS you are not prompted via the preparation questions nor during e-file to enter the PIN. I forgot that I had one and tried filling without the PIN which created problems.

I’ve used H&R Block software for over 10 years, the last 4 years using the MAC software. During the last 2 years I’ve had trouble pulling up the software after shutting down and logging in later. It won’t start when clicking on the icon or when using Finder. I’ve tried to use “start on login” which doesn’t help. The only way I can get back in is actually clicking on the saved tax file I was working on . I then get a message that I closed out incorrectly or something similar. I’m actually considering changing to Turbo Tax just because of this issue,
Other than that I like the software and find it easy to use.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

I have been using the H & R Block software for at least 5 years, everything is good except for one part that needs to be fixed.When printing,I think any schedules that were not actively part of the particular return,should not be allowed to print.That would save time and money...
