I am happy with how easy it is to get thru with the interview process. The deduction pro is very helpful. The state portion is not so easy and very short on explanation. This should be improved!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

This exists because they lobby Congress

The sole reason these type products exist is due to "rent seeking" by the companies lobbying Congress to prohibit the IRS from doing most of the work as they already have all the info. Instead, I'm forced to type in data the IRS already has wasting tons of time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is only for one state

It would have been nice if you stated at the cover page that the cost is only for one state and that we have to pay additional fees for additional states. Also it could not read one of my W2s and I hade to manually enter it.

Most of the features are easy to understand and use. Importing previous year's information continues to be very helpful. One suggestion, identify the worksheet or provide other proof that the taxable total is reduced by a QCD. I did some calculations and it appears to me to have been included but I would have preferred to see where.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

I've used this program for 3 years now and it has simplified the process so much for both fed and state (MN). It's easy to navigate, mostly intuitive, and has great features that work for me: automatically remembering previous year's data, automatically uploading all detailed info from brokerage (this is great!), and helping to find all possible errors or concerns before allowing you to file. My filing is fairly complex, my partner's simple; works great for both.

Easy to use as it's done in a Question and Answer format. Using the H&R Block software every year allows you to import last year's tax return automatically, which reduces a lot of data entry. The main reason I use it is that it helps ensure that I'm doing my taxes correctly. E-filing is included for free, so the whole process is seamless and a lot quicker. Definitely cheaper than paying an accountant to do my taxes.
