Making Tax Figuring a Pleasure

Again this year I found it complete and very easy to follow . My only problem was when I originally bought the physical disc package, it stated I needed Windows 8 or up to work. For a while I thought I would have to buy an upgrade to Windows then a new computer. I then found out I could download electronically to my Windows 7 computer. After downloading it was the usual smooth sailing.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

I've used H&R Block software for many years and have been for the most part pleased with the product. I did have a problem with e-file this year. The system entered activation code was entered all lower case and did not work. While in the chat que I found the install email and saw the code was upper case. I made the correction and the transmission worked. Needless to say that did not give me a warm fuzzy feeling about your product.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund

I have used this software for the past number of years. It is easy to use and brings forward past year's information so you don't have to reenter it.
Pros: Easy to prepare

I did not know that a fee is charged to use a credit card to pay taxes. Nor to file California taxes.

The changes from last year are OK. However, it would be nice to see the actual forms as you go. a quick look at the form like your office software would enhance the software.

H&R Block Deluxe has an improved user interface that makes entering data less tedious. I was able to quickly complete my federal and state income taxes quickly. Only two complaints: the software presents pop-ups urging the user to upgrade to Block Premium and add other services. This really annoys me. Second, the interface did not provide a way to enter an AZ tax credit for a donation to a school or other qualifying charities. I had to go into the forms and find the place to enter it doirectly.
