This is my second year using HR Block Software. The software is well suited for reporting dividends by having the user fill in every block of the 1099 into the software. Calculations are automatic. This is superior to TT!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Needs work filing electronically.

Found the software not user friendly when filing federal taxes with standard deductions. Program did not allow you to file electronically if you have previously filed on paper. Would not recommend this software if you wanted 100% assurance that you could file electronically. Used for 8 years and have never been able to file electronically. Moving on!
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It was great until i reached the E-file.

I have used TurboTax for years. This year the software was defective and drove me nuts. I was very happy with H&R Block until I tried to efile. The code number I was told to use did not work. After hours of making attempts I finally called for help. One of your people got it to work for me.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

I switched to H&R Block software 6 years ago from using another popular software. It is easy to use, accurate and much cheaper than the compititor's software. Preparing my tax return was a breeze.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

Making Tax Figuring a Pleasure

Again this year I found it complete and very easy to follow . My only problem was when I originally bought the physical disc package, it stated I needed Windows 8 or up to work. For a while I thought I would have to buy an upgrade to Windows then a new computer. I then found out I could download electronically to my Windows 7 computer. After downloading it was the usual smooth sailing.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
