I have used H&R Block Tax apps for several years and found them to be user-friendly. The 2025 Federal app balked at the RMD amounts and would believe the entries. The Ohio state form would allow a correction to the time lived in the School District.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I’ve used the Block program for 10+ years. Program works well. It is detailed so you don’t make mistakes. Pretty easy to use provided you have the needed documents. Uses last years return to pre fill lots of info.

I've been using your tax product for over 10 years. No real issues. This year your program will not allow me to import my financial info from Merrill. I was told your program no longer supports importing from them. This makes absolutely no sense. Entering a significant amount of info manually is not acceptable. I will be using another tax product in the future. You lost a loyal customer.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

you need to put the submit button higher on the initial welcome page. i had to call for help as i tried to start if a dozen times and the button was so low on the page it didn't show up.

Horrible software

You reported my dividends twice, greatly increasing my tax liability. Now I have to file an amended return and my state return is also wrong. Next year I’ll use TurboTax. Your software is not user friendly, even for a very simple, basic return.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
