After years and years of using H&R Block, I had to switch because they chose to be incompatible with Windows 10. I rarely use our home computer, so I really only use it for taxes. It runs Windows 10, and I was not going to buy a new computer for just this one reason. It was annoying to switch as I didn't like the new company's interface as much. I have to imagine that a huge number of people also bailed due to this one odd choice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using H&R Block tax software for 15 years. It is simple, straightforward and up-to-date. I never have to worry about new tax laws or changes to existing laws; it has already been done for me. The carryover feature from year to year is great and ensures that you don't forget anything.

In my opinion, the software is pretty straight forward and easy to fill. It is all the more easy if you previous year’s filed tax. Overall I would give an A for the H&R Block software! There some minor bugs otherwise great.

This is the 7th year I've used H&R Block software. I wish they made it easier to navigate around: going back and fixing or changing or adding things, but it's pretty cumbersome. Overall, it does a good job.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
