I've been using HR Block software for the last 5 years. Our taxes are fairly simple (a bunch of W-2s and 1099s), so I'm not sure how more complex taxes are handled. Being able to directly import forms makes sure that everything is entered correctly and there are no typos. Another thing I like is that many of the obscure items are listed as "uncommon" which tells me that unless I hear something, it probably doesn't apply. One thing I wish was better is the descriptions of some of the items. I know a 1099 is fairly straight forward, but talking about certain deductions when you click "more info", it doesn't really tell what the deduction is. Instead, it just mentions that if it applies to you, you put it in.
The entire form from start to finish (done in multiple sittings due to availability of tax forms) takes about 2-3 hours.
Pros: Easy to import documents

One item - 1099B needs better explanation, ie using box numbers as on the form
