maybe its just the tax code but this software seemed very ambiguous. Explanations were ridiculously simple and grossly inadequate. I got the feeling that i was being coerced to upgrade both software and consultation. The state software is outrageously priced.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

H&R Block Tax Software is a quality product year after year. The software itself is easy to use and is updated frequently during the tax season to make sure you have everything you need to file your taxes properly. The only quibble I have with the program is with the printing of the tax forms for record purposes. The printouts waste a LOT of paper. It's similar to printing a webpage where you get almost everything on one sheet and the second page has one line or the webpage address on it. Just an FYI!

Confusion

I just updated (Mar 23, 2020) "My 2019 taxes" and the screen showed I have not e-filed yet. In my e-mail there are two messages sent from H&R Block approx 2 weeks ago. Message #1 stated my return was filed. Message #2 stated, "The IRS has accepted my return." So, what's up?
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
