I am fairly pleased with the software with the exception of the download function from Fidelity, my financial institution. The software did not download my 1099's correctly. After several attempts, the download function duplicated one of the 1099's and did not download the second. There should also be an option to download just the summary information or the full 1099 information. I had to correct and enter the data manually. This is the first year I've had trouble with the software.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've used H&R Block tax software for several years. It has made tax preparation easy for me, even when I owned rental property. Now that I'm retired, taxes are much simpler but there are still some considerations that the software makes sure I don't overlook.

Loyal customer for over 20 years, however, you were unable to import my brokers information, Altruist. I have a friend that has TurboTax and was able to do it. I will probably switch if you cannot do the import of them next year.
