I've been using this software for a long time and have found it to be great. There is one improvement I'd like to suggest. I completed making all data entries except for one 1099 that always comes late. When I got to the part on "How much of refund do you want to apply to next years payments?" the total amount of the refund was already filled in (in blue background). That's what I wanted so I clicked on "next." Later, when I received the missing 1099 and added the data, I discovered that, although the amount of my refund had decreased, the dollar amount of what I wanted applied to next year's taxes had not changed. There was nothing in the "review" section that informed me that the amount of refund to be applied to next years taxes was greater than the amount of refund. The H&RB person I discussed this with on the phone said this might cause problems with the IRS and that I should make the manual change. Although I probably should have caught this myself, I would suggest that a notification for this situation be incorporated into the software.
Good program, easier to navigate than Turbo Tax this year. Was disappointed that I had to pay to efile my state return on the deluxe program. I didn't know that until I completed my state return, then went back to look at the box. It's written on the back in a very subtle way so never noticed it before purchase.
