Easy to use

Easy to use, way,way cheaper then turbo tax but still has all the bells and whistles! Let’s me wait on paying my state tax instead of having to pay at end of the program
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

This is outstanding software for the self-filer! It walks you through the process very easily and adjusts as needed to special circumstances a filer might have in play. I have used H&R Block Deluxe for about 10 years now and can not imagine using anything else.

I have used TaxCut since 2004. I haven't had any issues with the software. I usually download it from your website. Occasionally I have had temporary difficulty contacting your server for the download. Whenever that has happened I was able to make the connection shortly thereafter. Once the download starts it has always worked flawlessly.
In all these years I only needed tax advice once. I had an in person meeting and resolved the issue quickly with no added charge. Also, your local office was close by.

TurboTax is more intuitive and easier to use. I paid for Deluxe that was supposed to include State, but did not.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund

I have always given a 5 star rating until this year. I had entered a lot of information into the program this year in early Feb and did not work on it anymore until I got ready to file in March. I rechecked everything and ran the program to check for errors. I found errors which relayed to Roff 401k. I had checked a box by accident and went back to correct it, but the program would not let me uncheck it. I could not edit it and below was an option to delete this worksheet and I deleted it. I went back to recheck for errors and it told me I had not interred any information. To make a long story short, all information was gone and I was not able to pull data from previous years back into the form. I had to delete data base 2019 and reload the program and start over from scratch.
FYI *** I saved my data before I deleted the worksheet. I still lost all data.
