I've filed with Block software for decades. It's the easiest way and the one that I trust most to get it right and help me understand what's what.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

It works generally well, however it is very frustrating that certain important calculations aren't included. Calculating a "required minimum distribution" is an example--I spent an hour or more digging through IRS publications to figure out how to properly calculate my RMD when the software could have handled it with just a few questions. Over the years, it seems like there is always 1-2 things that come up like that, where I end up spending hours digesting IRS publication information to get an answer to something (and, often, the answer is rather inconsequential to my personal results (i.e., I took out WAY more than my RMD and knew that--but calculating the actual RMD was laborious).
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

H&R Block Deluxe Software is user friendly. Improvement in the 2019 version made the filing process more straightforward. I have already recommended the software to a few friends of mine.
