I’ve been using 2-3 differences computer tax preparer programs almost 20 years. They are all good, but to my likeness, H&R Block have the edge over the other’s.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

I have used H & R Block software for 19 years. It guides me through the filing process and I am able to figure out what the software is asking me to do. When I started, I was a heath care contractor, and along with my Disability payments, the software guided me through with ease. Now I am retired, and when I start a new return, the software picks up the data it needs from the previous years returns, and asks for input where need. I don't have to take a chance that a Brick and Mortar person will taking advantage of me, and what you initially pay for is all you pay for. I have heard horror stories, but I can say I have none to report in 19 years. It takes me less than an hours on my computer to the federa land state, and the piece of mind that I am done is great.

I have been using this app for years and as a result my taxes are handled consistently through years of changing needs on my part with all past taxes conveniently at hand and the next year pre populated making the effort just completing the new years numbers in forms carried over from last year. It has also kept me aware of how my financial changes are reflected reflected in a tax return.
