Too many errors on simple items. It fills the form out incorrectly then blames me. Been using for years and tired of it. After e-filing, they place it on hold and send an email to call. When you call, they don't know what it's concerning and you have to play a guessing game until they realize they need to verify your identity with a set of questions that they shouldn't know the answer to. They say it's random but it's happened to me every single time. Turbotax for us next year.
Cons: Hard to prepare

Very poor at pointing out issues while progressing through program. After completing all the pages, the program said the checks were fine, but when I went to file the program asked me to fill out the raw forms to fix 12 issues.......very frustrating trying to figure out where to go in earlier pages that the program didn't state there was an issue with.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Each section in the Software was very clearly explained with reference links for additional info and valuable tips. It was a great experience filing our taxes using the H&R Block Deluxe version. We will continue to use this software in future as done before since past 10 years or so..

My complaint is that there are extra charges. I bought a version with state but I still had to pay more to e-file my state return. Since I had to file in two states I also had to buy another state 'license'. That cost as much as the deluxe with state version. I would be much happier if all the costs were displayed on the product so I could make better comparison with other methods of doing taxes.
The federal part is straight forward and has helpful links to answer questions. The WI state was not as easy to work with for reporting sale of stock and divedends and I had to go back to my tax documents and back to the federal forms many times before I was confident I got it correct.
