It is always a good experience using H&R Block, (I mean other than having to pay taxes.) I used the Premier edition because of investments. One is able to complete a somewhat involved return fairly quickly. If you have questions, the pop-ups generally answer most questions, and if not other sources are just a click or two away.
Pros: Easy to prepare

State program for KY is not good. Not much help with most forms and it gave bad advice with regard to filing status with no calculations for other paths without manually changing it. I won't be back next year.
Pros: Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

Started using this when it was Tax Cut over 20 years ago. I had a full time job and self-employed business. Tax Cut and H&R Block Deluxe did the job with no problems.

Familiar program, used HRBlock last year. Easy to follow, clear directions, and easy to download investment information. One issue, minor, is that when entering each investment after it was downloaded to edit/check it out, when you returned to the list of investments the program would default back to the top of the list, not at the last place you were at.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
