I have used H&R Block software for more than 10 years. It very user friendly, and leads you through the entire filing process. It reminds you of items you might otherwise forget, and helps you take advantage of all tax breaks available. They provide live assistance with any questions you may have, but with the thoroughness of their program, I have never had the need to contact them. I highly recommend their programs.

it kept closing on me and I would have to start all over. Also I usually can upload my forms and then it would ask a few questions. this time it didn't do that I had to manually enter and the question were so confusing. It didn't even pertain to what I was trying to enter. It usually is so easy to upload and you move on. this time I had the hardest time.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

Worked well for me. More fairly priced than other software options. Cost of e-filing the state return is unreasonable, especially considering that Kentucky taxpayers can e-file with KY File completely free. It seems to me that transferring calculations from H&R Block software to KY File should be possible without extra data input and without paying $20 more.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
