We have used the H and R block two years in a row. They are not user friendly and never work well.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

The Fed and hence state rejected my filing stating that the software was not up to date. I had updated it earlier that day and checked again. It said it was updated. I chatted with someone on your site who offered me a link for new software. Then it worked fine.
Pros: Easy to import documents

I think the H&R Block software gets better and more efficient every year. It's easy to use, picks up last year's data, brings Fed data into State data and submits for you. What more does one want.

Disappointed this year. First, failed to implement program change to allow me to easily file with the new July 15 tax deadline. Then, I find they charged my CC account TWICE for the state filing fee.
