The product doesn’t feel polished. In some cases it has circular paths, very frustrating. You can tell the QC was lacking. Because of my age it asked for Social Security income. Even though I had none it kept on asking. It has definitely gone down hill compared to previous years.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

I have been using HRBlock since they took over my old program. Easy to use and reasonably priced.

very limited w2 uploads essentially useless. state program not complete could not electronically submit complete waste of money. hello turbo tax

I had to go back and make a correction on my 1099-R, it kept everything else I entered the same, BUT after I e-filed I noticed the capital loss carryover that was imported from last year's return was deleted, so now I have to do an amended return. I wish the program could've retained that information.

I have used the program now for many years - this is the first year I have to do RMD - and I am not sure it worked into the program properly - perhaps I missed it, but a specific instruction process for us old folks would be nice for the warm fuzzy feeling that we did it correctly

Been using this software for past 6 years. It is pretty solid but has a few quirks. I do get errors at the end to complete information that the software never asked me for along the way. There are a few areas that are confusing like the sale of stocks and non qualified distributions. All the rest is pretty strait forward.

I found the entries for IRA withdrawals confusing. ON my first pass thru, I ended up having to pay penalties on IRA withdrawals. I finally forced the program to list Qualified Charitable Distributions in the correct space on the IRS forms.
Pros: Fast
