I feel a bit trapped, as I've used this software for years, so the easiest thing is to keep getting it every year. But it hasn't gotten any better or smarter or more user friendly over time, leaves a lot of questions unanswered, and is particularly weak on state returns. Frustrating, but like I said, I'm stuck with it.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used tax cut/now HR Block for some years and have always found it to be user friendly. This year there were a few areas that were not quite clear and I had to do a little more research to be able to complete sections. I do recommend it, I will buy it again.
