So many glitches! Had to buy twice
on April 22, 2020

Tech support said it was my fault on the download so they couldn’t fix the constant updates that would never work to get past that to submit my taxes. They wanted the next level to approve another download, which never came. So had to remove and repurchase and found that a hidden page under the “Installing” page was stating which state to download was hanging out and it never completed its true download before! It took twice as long as the first one so maybe it was my fault for not seeing the junk underneath! I guess it is too hard to use for use country folk....that is my recommendation.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This software had two "bugs" that were jeopardizing the filing of my tax return. When tech support could not resolve the main issue, I requested additional follow-up and received a case number. No additional follow-up ever occurred. I had to resolve the issues by manually changing items on the tax forms - something the flawed "interview process" should have been able to handle. This software has not been thoroughly validated for the range of customers it's intended to serve. I will not purchase it again even though I had previously purchased it for several years.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund

I liked the ease of working with the 2019 Deluxe Software. What I don't like that you need to go through a lot of steps to get to the point where the suggestion is made to use the standard deductions. There should be an early option in the program to go right to the 1040 Short Form. In addition if you wanted "chat " assistance the first thing you were told was that there would be a charge. I had one question I needed to discuss and wasn't about to pay the price for one question. Mid-way through the program you are given the option to go to a more expensive program which includes the state forms and efiling for a price. I didn't take this option but when I got to doing the state filing which I thought was included in the Deluxe Software I had to pay another fee for the software. And finally when it came to efiling the state I had to pay another fee. I would have been ahead of the game if I would have upgraded to the better software because that was less expensive than the two additional charges I paid.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
