Software works OK. You have to pretty much know how to do your taxes to use it, but it's about the same as most other non-premiums software packages

I've been using the programs for years. I like them. However, the prices seem to catch purchasers off guard. Purchase for one amount, then pay for transmission, then pay for state transmission. I just have SS, some interest income and a few dividends. Not enough deduction to itemize. I still end up paying a high fee for all the above. Maybe the others do to.
Pros: Easy to prepare

flawed submission process

After finishing and sending by internet, all 5 of the last years taxes records disappeared. I have copies, but now I can't go back into my software to see where and how computations were done.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using Block Deluxe and its predecessor Kiplinger Tax Cut for about 20 years. It has always provided easy, understandable inputs and reliable results. I particularly appreciate the fact that it will identify changes in the tax laws that affect my return that I may not always hear about as I am not a professional tax preparer.

Super fast and easy, but I kind of thought bc I was paying for Federal and State software that the State filing fees were covered in that cost, and that wasn’t the case. But otherwise, would strongly recommend!

H&R Block makes tax preparation and filing very easy and simple to understand! Only thing unhappy with is that still waiting on Federal IRS stimulus payment as is sounds like H&RB never provides the IRS with my banking information, even though I pick direct deposit via e-file for any refund or possibly direct debit, if I might owe.

I have used block for years and in my experience it gets worse every year. Some people including me have limited internet access. By having all help online it made the program almost useless to me. I will look for other software in the future.
