This year’s version of the software was definitely NOT ready for release. It was filled with bugs, glitches and failures. It would not recognize last year’s .T24 file and could not import from it. The interviews, especially for the new tax law sections, were disjointed and unclear. Some fields in supporting work sheets were incorrectly filled in by the software. Worst of all, human support has been taken away and replaced with an AI that really an AS: actual stupidity. It looked as if some had taken the most “Frequently Asked Questions” and created an AI that randomly sent back one of the ten standard answers, hoping one of them fit the question. ALL of my AI responses were either irrelevant to my question or “I am unable to answer your question”.
I will probably use H&RB again next year just because all my old files are in your format. But if the same problems continue, I would doubt that you will have any returning customers after 2027.

More efficient then reading tax code, but after many many years of use the software still asks me about credits and deductions it knows I don't qualify for due to age, AGI, or dependents. It doesn't take AI, but it would take more coding then just slapping on more questions when the tax code changes.
Pros: Easy to import documents
