I've used H&R tax software for years and it has gotten easier each year. Step by step it seems very complete and instills confidence that the job has been done right.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Works great unless you have to go into the weeds. Everything was good but then I got an error and had to manually figure out and enter several items on one form. Nothing more fun than reading IRS instructions to figure out what should be entered into a form... Also, it might not be Block's fault but why the heck do i have to pay to file a state return electronically - doesn't electronic filing save the state time and money as opposed to scanning in my paper return?

Great!! I don’t like I have to pay to file State taxes. Because the cost of this program is expensive. I could just do ever online and not buy the program and not pay for anything.
