I’ve been using the H&R Block programs for many years. The 2025 program was easy to use, had helpful explanations when I needed to understand more, program was up to date on new IRS regulations (such as QCDs), always has all the right forms and the 5 e-files make submitting the return a simple task.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

The features are reliable and make it easy to file by asking pertinent questions and remembering my history from last year. The only thing that is not great is that as expensive as this software is and then still having to pay extra to e-file with my state.

Easy to use tax prep software, very consistent and reliable. Would like better explanations and resources on filling out some form fields and tax questions, more educational resources

Had trouble establishing email contact with you. Took days to finally get an email from you. When I did, I got 14 one day, eight the next. Tried to point out where there were problems in your software. You don't speak to clients about software. Your automated help function isn't helpful at all. "Sorry, I can't answer that question. I can tell you . . . "
