I have been using HR Block for years. With the tax changes 2 years ago, my taxes got more complicated. For the most part, HR Block made doing my taxes okay, but their "take me to.." feature is not detailed enough for easily finding where I want to go. Other than that, the software is reasonably easy to use.
Great software. State part of the program has a few glitches. Especially if you have a state that does not have state income tax or, were a part time resident.
The software was clunky. It didn't allow me to deduct miles as a business expense. When I tried to input the information in Schedule C, it didn't let me. It required me to go to a mileage worksheet. That form was in my name and not my wives, which it needed to be in. In the end, I never calculated business miles as an expense because the software wouldn't allow it. I wound up pay more in taxes and getting a smaller refund. To top thing off, my code didn't work to e-file federal taxes and I had to go to tech support twice. The first time it was closed due to limited hours. I then had to go back the next day.
