For the second year in a row the Delux software did not allow me to file a state return until I had made multiple phone calls to get the state plug-in. I have used this software 16 years and the last two are the only ones with this problem.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

1. Federal return fine, already have refund.
BUT!!!
2. After over an hour trying I had to restart my MAC in order to submit return electronically. Help option was not helpful!!!
AND!!! STATE RETURN COULD NOT BE DOWNLOADED SUCCESSFULLY ON MAC. AGAIN HELP OPTION WAS OF NO USE. ENDED UP PAYING FOR STATE TWICE YET DID RETURN MANUALLY.
I have used computers for over 70 years and am well versed. Help instructions for MAC issues appear to be designed for someone familiar with MAC operating system and not ordinary people.

Eliminate the AI Assistant.

This is my second year using H&R Block software and it will be my last. I have prepared taxes for myself & others for 50 years and I have never felt so unsure about the accuracy of my return. The software is structured differently than last year’s, and the addition of the AI assistant only served to add to the overall general uneasiness of the entire package.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Been using your programs for decades. I like them but every year there is something that doesn't work right. This year I had a partial IRA rollover that caused me a lot of problems. Eventually I got the program to treat it correctly. There was a small box I needed to check that I had overlooked. Could have been a lot more obvious. The state (AZ) program never worked for the short form so I had to file the long form. It's just annoying to have to deal with this stuff, and it's every year.
Pros: Easy to prepare
