Love H&R Block tax programs and have used them for nearly 10 years. Easy to use and handles all the basic tax concerns. To be honest, my tax return is pretty vanilla but it's still very reassuring to know that all boxes are checked when submitting my tax returns!

Software Easy to use - Updates difficult to upload

Easy to input data. Second time to use this product.
HR Block needs to either give better instructions to obtain updates or fix the software.
Was never able to update the program (kept saying firewall, etc. issue). I reloaded program on another computer and it updated upon reload. Was about to reload the program and "re-input all data" when I decided to try to start the program using the "software provided shortcut" on my desktop. "SHAZAM!" - it came up and asked if I wanted to update and it made the system update.
Problem - I was opening the program using the "saved file in "My Documents". Doing that it is easy to do all the inputs, etc. to complete your form...but there is no way it will let you update or file the return. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED.

This Year Block Disappointed Me

I've used Block for a long time, lots of years, and I've liked it. But this version put up my 2018 AGI incorrectly and the IRS refused my return until I struggled with the IRS site to get the correct ASI and redid the return. 2 stars for this year, 4 stars for the last 20.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
