Good reliable program, could use some tweaks.

I got this program near end Dec 2019 and had my taxes done in end-Jan after receiving financial forms. I waited to submit, and good thing I did because I didn't have to take my IRA's Required min distribution, a big thing for next year 2020.
There was an error in my return that I had a hard time finding and correcting. For one of my estimated state tax payments, I accidentally typed year 2029 rather than 2019 and the program disregarded that entry to my detriment. I suggest that not only numbers be checked, but if a date to an entry is really out of wack, that it also be flagged.
Getting to some places is still hard/circuitous ... and I've been using your program long before it became H&RBlock.

I have been using this software for about 8 years now and it has never let me down. Exceptionally user friendly. Walks you through each and every step in the process and provides guidance and facts along the way. It even recommends ways to save on taxes in the future!!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

Best tax program available

I have used H&R Block Deluxe Tax Software for over a decade now & have never had an issue with the program. I wish the U.S. would simplify the tax code but H&R Block has kept up with it even as it has gotten more complicated. I have never had printer issues with H&R Block & I like how you can save your tax forms to a PDF file. I will keep using their Deluxe program because of my investments & the program's simple & easy to use menu pages. Keep up the good work H&R Block!
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I don't remember encountering this many problems in the previous versions:
- One instance of Yes/No buttons being shown without any specific question in the interview/description
- Unclear how to report multiple 1099-SA forms
- Some confusing wording around partial-year HSA coverage
