Too expensive by far for a simple, uncomplicated return. When the software is offered at a discount for early purchase in the Fall, there is no option to buy, at a discount, a more simple, less expensive software to use in filing a Senor return. I used to be able to itemize but no more due to tax law changes and do not need software like Deluxe.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Software is easy to use. Pre-filling in information from the previous year makes it go must faster. When it checks for errors, it is sometimes hard to understand if you really need that information. Instead of 5 free federal filings, reduce that and include a free state filling.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

Easy to set up and use but has unresolved issues

For the most part, the H&R Block software was relatively intuitive and easy to install and use; however, when issues were noted during the final review process, resolving them was challenging and never really clearly validated. This left us not really knowing if the tax form would be accepted or rejected by the IRS?
