I’ve been filing my own Fed & state taxes since 1992 using H&R Block software. It has been a good run. This year, though, I was perplexed by the questionnaire’s part about RMD: I reported the RMD in the normal income section but then got to the RMD section and the software treated my situation as if I did not take the RMD and charged me the penalty and I was not able to undo the entry so I aborted and started over! Next time around, I just skipped over the RMD question and all went well.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

My parents have been trying to do their taxes electronically with their hvac credit and get denied over and over again. Your software doesn’t work for them and it’s annoying to me. You need to fix it or give them a refund.
