Easy to use - This was my first year using

The price got me to move from Taxact to this. Unfortunately I didn't notice that they do the SAME exact thing as all the others - The state still costs extra to eFile. I assumed incorrectly that this came with one free State efile.
It also caused my return to get rejected several times until I figured out the problem. One was that it wouldn't let me type my kids full last names which are hyphenated.
The other was that this year I am filing as Head of Household as I was divorced last year. When I imported my previous year return where I was married it put my then wife's SSN into a worksheet. This caused the IRS to reject my return saying that my spouses ssn was invalid. But this was not flagged, and it should have deleted her when it saw that I was divorced. Luckily I figured it out but this is a bug.

It works and is reasonably priced. Does a good job of working through the tax filing process and integrates well with the state program. Also, when used in successive years, will transfer information from one year to the next.

I've used HRBlock Tax software for years and have always been pleased with results and how easy the software is to use. Completely walks you thru the preparation and filing process and has a great "take me to" feature that enables you to jump around to various sections if needed. I particularly liked the efiling process and ability to easily save a pdf file of complete Fed and State return. Highly recommend.

I liked the software. Been using it for years. However, this year it messed up my State return. The software calculated a incorrect value and would not let me correct it. I reached out to support and they just told me to print and mail my return. Next year I will be using different software.
