This is an effective tool to prepare your own taxes regardless of whether it’s your first time or you’ve been doing it for 20 years. It guides you through every step and reviews your work when you are done to prevent possible errors or omissions. My only complaint is the cost to e-file the state return.

Easy to use but I wish it had worked with brokerage sites. Software failed to fetch data from Merrill Lynch and Was forced to manually enter everything.

Misleading Editions,State Filing Additional Charge

The functionality is ok but the product title is very misleading however. Had I known there is an extra charge to file state for a software purchase titled FEDERAL + STATE, I would not have filed with HR Block.
Pros: Easy to prepare
