H&R Block is straight forward, easy to follow, and intuitive to use. We have W-2 income, 1099 income, Schedule C income and real estate income. Our taxes flow smoothly. They habe since we first started with H&R Block 12 years ago. I will neber change.

You need a knowledge of tax returns to be able to use this. More so than in past years. I have used this for ten years at least and I found it difficult this time.

My father actually buys it and files my taxes every year. He says he likes it because he understands it and is comfortable using it. I think he will continue to use it, although it gets more expensive every year. Hard to pass up FREE tax programs that are available online, and every year he says he may switch to one of them. It's up to him.

It leads you step by step. As a repeat user it brings the last year’s data forward so you do not have to type all of the data again this year. Just enter the new numbers about years income and deductions.
