This is the second year in a row, the state return has a calculation error that would have overpaid the refund. I caught it, but could easily see people missing it and paying for it later.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I’ve used HR Block tax program for years, live it. I previously used the Premium version as I had a small home business needing Schedule C. But I closed that business in 2024 so this year I got the standard version… very easy to use!

There were many bugs in the program this year including 1) Investments (Broker name, security, shares) changing after opening section to review 2) Income - wage amount kept changing (income from one job overrode income from different job 3)After updating Minnesota return, Working Family Credit no longer worked - had to wait until next update to file return
