The installation from disc locked up on two different computers. I had to download a version and use it. Importing from Turbo Tax didn't seem to provide much if any information. I basically started from scratch. 8 hours later, my taxes were done. A couple of screens had boxes pre-checked and didn't explain why. If I unchecked them, the program would tell me that they needed to be checked, but the section didn't apply to me. So blank forms were generated as part of my return. Finger crossed that these odd forms don't trigger an audit. I'm not impressed. I'll go back to Turbo Tax next year.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

I really like using the H&R Block software & especially Deduction Pro. I've been "going through" "stuff" that belonged to my parents & grandparents (& my own stuff), and have oodles of items that are donated; & the Deduction Pro portion of this software allows me to itemize donations & provides a value so that I don't have to make guesses. This "going through" stuff has been a multi-year project, and I know I still have several more years to go - whew! This part of the program has been a life-saver ;-)
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Federal is ok, state e-file is extra. And you can not e-file certain state if you are non-resident or part year resident and and it's nowhere in the description of the software and only find it out when you are trying to e-file. Definitely will not use it anymore and not recommend to others.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

Much better than Dumbo Dax, I mean Turbo Tax. That other outfit had me paying over $1300 in state tax, when I was really due a $186 refund. Plus Dumbo Dax didn’t give me a way to find last year’s AGI (fortunately) so that I could file my taxes..

Pain the butt installing on a nrw computer. After wasting hours was able to finally get it to install through a trail cd. Should have been straightforward for a already purchased software

The software makes it easier to figure and file our tax returns.
This year I purchased early (03/2019), I got an activation code. I was supposed to get an email with a link to download the software when it was released, but did not. I tried various sites to download, but the code was invalid. I called Customer Service, but I gave up after being on hold for over 40 minutes.
I finally just purchased the software again.
