Verified Purchase:Yes
While the federal return was eventually handled adequately, the state return was badly mismanaged. It took far too much work to coax your software to produce the proper result. This was time to use Block tax software, and it is definitely the last time. I'm only here because TurboTax dropped support for Windows 10.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

H&R Block Program Falls Quite Short on Tax Program

Your program is not very clear on multiple tax issues. Also, it indicates errors that are NOT errors and gives the taxpayer an uneasy feeling for filing purposes. Turbo Tax let you correct all errors therefore giving the taxpayer relief that their return is filed "error free"...I don't get that feeling with H&R Block

I have been using H&R Block for years now. It’s so easy to use and it guides you through with ease. I have always felt confident with my tax returns, never worried about being audited. Not sure why the cost goes up every year as I do the same thing every year, only difference this year was the overtime.

I have been using TurboTax for the last 4 years try it again this year and it was just loaded with problems. Spoke to them many times and spent a lot of time on the phone and it did not solve the problem so I got better uses for my time. So I bought your program is working very well no complaints at all. The price is better also
