This was the second year that I used H&R Block Deluxe. I learned that you have to start at the beginning of each required section and enter your data step by step from the beginning to the end of each required section. It was a very rewarding moment when the software system congratulated me for correcting all my errors and completing my tax forms. My tax forms were then sent on to be processed by IRS.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Fast

For at least one item (a IRA/pension payment) all it shows is that it came from one of a large number 1099's without saying which one. Their entry corresponded to no item I could find on any of the forms. After much work, I could not figure this item out which had implications for the Maryland state taxes (am well above average in tax knowledge having been employed in the field). Also, does not permit having more than one form open at a time.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
