Not carrying over year to year

I am finding that I spend more time fixing things from prior year's returns in order to file my current year return - prior year taxes aren't carrying over. Also, downloading data from financial services companies are triggering reviews as well (which is a problem for anyone with more than 10 dividends!) Last item I would like to see corrected, the ability to include more than 4 states on the Federal return (current state plus 3 others.) This prohibits the ability for many people to electronically file their state. This is the 3 year I had these problems and I am really considering using another service provider next year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I would recommend H&R with reservations. Explanations seemed less clear and harder to find than in previous years. Also, the program had to be reloaded - at one point it informed me that I owed five times the tax than was possible, given the amount of deductions that I was entitled to.

If your taxes are straight forward with no rental property or owner of a small side business, this is the best, easiest, most accurate and up to date tax software. ( microphone drop) and comes with audit assistance if ever needed at no additional costs to you.
