Lousy on filing for deceased!

Have always had superior experience with tax program until this year. My husband died this year and have had nothing but trouble with Federal and State returns. The program let me file electronically for Federal but was not allowed, causing me to file amended return and I still have not received refund! State was told needed to print return to file and given instructions for deceased filing, but they left out some forms that needed printing and sent. So disappointed with the filing and lack of instructions for specialized deceased filing.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

I have used it for several years. But, each year the software never recognizes anything from last year even though it is all stored on the same computer using their software to store it. So all the data from the year before (totals, names, repeat deductions, etc.) are not recognized. The software is cumbersome and not intuitive. I don't like being on a merry-go-round when it comes to software.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

The Federal worked great

I bought this product and completed my federal tax return with no problem. The problem was with my state tax return. The deluxe included the state return that didn’t work. So I had to do a hard copy return.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I found the software relatively easy to use but found it difficult to determine which software to use. for example the last few years I didnt have enough deductions to offset the standard deductions. That said I knew I didnt have it enough this year but had to go through the list before the software would use the standard deduction. Why not have an option up front.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

I have used HR Block software for a lot of years and it always worked fine. 2018 and 2019 it just didn't load without a lot of messing around. I am using the same computer for the last 5 yrs. This year, the state part of the program had a bunch of problems. In the end it failed to send it with the federals and failed to send it alone. Had to print it out and mail it. I am not thinking of using this software for 2020. Sometimes software changes don't work for everyone?

Cons: Time consuming
