Easy to Use!

I have been using the H&R Tax Software for years because it is straightforward, easy to use and navigate and they have help screens along the way of filling it out that help you with inputting the required information. It makes me feel comfortable using this for my taxes.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bug discovered in 2019 Deluxe

I don't know how it happened, but when I went to e-file, the verification routine got stuck in a strange endless loop. It put my zip code in the City Field and instructed me to fix it. When I did so, it proceeded to put my city name in the Zip Code field. This process continued indefinitely until I finally broke out of the loop by deleting all my contact information. It was automatically refilled by the software. I can send scree shots of the errors.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

TurboTax is more expensive but, it’s also a better program.

Reliable tax package

I have used H&R Block Tax packages for many years and it has never failed me. Good and clear instructions along with examples that a clear. I not taken more than a couple of hours (usually an hour) to complete my return. Price per simplicity is unmantteched.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

HR Block Deluxe, best Tax program going

This is the 6th year in a row I have used HR Block Deluxe, it is the best software going. I tried Turbo Tax in 2013 and found it to be much more difficult to navigate and not nearly as intuitive as HR Block. I will not be trying any non-HR Block Tax program in the future.

Fell short of expectations

The IRS added a requirement regarding K-1 basis calculation on Form E line 28 in 2018. The software doesn't have this capability. The capability needs to be added in order to e-file a complete return.. I will not buy HR Block 2020 tax prep software if this capability isn't built in. I've been using your software for many years and have been happy with it. I will be forced to switch if I can no longer complete and e-file my return with your software.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
