I started using a PC based Federal Tax program in 1998 when I used a program from Parson's Technology. Then, in 2005, if I recall, Intuit bought out that program and created TurboTax. I used TurboTax until 2014, until the features offered decreased, mandating upgrading to a higher level, more expensive version. In 2014 I decided I'd had enough! That's when I switched to H&R Block. It's been consistent, thorough, and price stable. After seven years with them, I'm still super pleased!
I've been using H&R tax software for nearly 10 years and have found it to be very easy to use. I have a fairly straightforward tax situation so their software simplifies the process while eliminating silly mistakes.
Found two supposed errors that resulted from no information corrected provided in one of the blocks on a W2, which resulted in my having to mail my state return.
