Save time and energy with easy to use software

I've been using H&R Software for the past several years. I love the fact it imports information from the previous year. The software alerts you to new tax laws and calculates data efficiently. E-filing is quick and easy. My only complaint is that e-filing State forms is a bit expensive..
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

Paid twice for the software because it failed to load on 2+ occasions which timed out the first software license and help service process is a do loop of dumassery. Software is traditionally good otherwise.

NJ interview skipped medical
on February 26, 2026

The federal interview asked if you want to skip filling out Schedule A, because the itemized deductions are going to be less than the standard deduction which was true. However this is where the New Jersey state form gets its medical deduction information and it was not filled out nor did it ask me for the information during the NJ interview. The federal threshold is 7.5%. NJ is only 2%. I accidentally found this looking for something else on the NJ form. Had I not found this, I would have had about a $400 less of a refund. Now I have to go look at my old returns. The program assumed that if you didn't meet the federal deduction threshold, that you would not meet the state threshold. I do not know what the thresholds are for other states, but New Jersey it is 2% and is very easy to meet just paying your medical insurance premiums.

Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
