I have been using H&R Block software for the last 5 years now and it has been one of the easiest to use as well as having the forms I have needed. This year I discovered I needed a different form and while my brother needed to upgrade to a much pricier version of the competition's software, my H&R Block Deluxe had it as a standard option. Very good stuff!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Terrible glitchy software. Said it e-filed to IRS, yet IRS has no record. Had to snail mail taxes & manually enter state info directly to the state, due to frustrating submission errors with this crap product. Never again!
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

Software was not very compatible with my MacBook Pro. Once I downloaded new Operating System, it eventually worked. It was difficult though. The H&R Block Help Desk was very good.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to prepare
