This was the first year I didn't buy a disc and run it from there. For some reason it didn't find and use the inputs from last year which is why I didn't go with a five star rating,

The Fed s/w was pretty decent. The Kentucky state s/w kept me from giving a higher Rating. It left a lot to be desired and required me to research and calculate using forms too much. No worksheet or source provided for how income was split. If I overrode and used my own split, it was flagged. Disappointing.

Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

Karl Kerr I am the one using HRB soft ware I like it verymuch the only thing in the earlier years it was easy to talk to a person when you have a problem now its very diffecult to get any problem resolved.

Mistakenly submitted tax return before completing necessary entries...IRS debited amount from checking account without explicit authorization forcing me to amend return but then IRS could not credit amended amount back to checking account.

I have used this program successfully for the last several years. This year it wont let me e-file my SC state return because of an attached schedule. It says SC requires me to print the form and mail it if i need to file that schedule. SC1040TC. When I try to print it out I get a message that I cant print it and it has to be filed electronically if I am filing that schedule. It prints the message across the signature lines to keep me from printing and filing. I cant file either way - one is clearly incorrect. Customer support was no help. They said to try and update the program which did nothing - no other help offered.
Pros: Fast
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
