Try to get an early start on my return. File my Fed and State e-file. Paid my filing fee for state. Fed rejected my return. found out that we had an unexpected 1099 R that came in Feb. File again and had to pay for state filing again.

Font size is way too small with poor contrast even on a large computer screen. Very difficult to read and easy to miss information.

OK in general but this year had a glitch
on February 21, 2026

This year there was a glitch in the program where the option to "Mark Entry as Tentative" was greyed out and would not work. They didn't fix it for several months.
In general the program does a good job. I think E-filing for states is a bit pricey-especially if you have multiple states to file. You've already had to pay to download an additional state, and then they hit you with this fee as well. Ends up costing more than the original program with pone state included did.

There was a problem with the software. If I hadn't checked my withholding I would have had an incorrect return. Withholding was transposed from one 1099R to another.
