Another Easy Year for Filing

This year's (2025) was easy to use and quick with the feature to input last year's information.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

GOOD, BUT ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT

PROS:
I've been using HRB for years so it's hard to compare with other tax prep software, but in general it does a good job of streamlining, downloading, and importing data, saving countless hours.
CONS:
1. Based on limited use, I was not impressed with the AI feature. It was unable to answer the 1 tax software specific question I asked it.
2. I had difficulty locating and correcting an ACCURACY REVIEW item ('duplicate forms'). Navigating to various parts of my return reminds me of a telephone automatic messaging system ("please select from the following options - and maybe eventually you'll find what you need").
3. The Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) section of the interview this year had (for me) new options to select from, using foreign terms, complicated definitions, all jumbled in with the normal use case that applies to most people. After a mild panic attack I finally got the correct result through trial and error. I've since reported this situation to HRB in a separate communication.

H&R Block 2025 taxes

I sure wish there was an ability to enlarge the font size of teh forms to make it easier to read

Quite upset with what must be a glitch

I went through the entire process using the Software and everything went just fine. Until... I received an IRS Notice CP53E.
I looked back at the screens I filled out and found where I marked the "Send me a check" box in the process. ALAS, the IRS will not send me a check! They have changed their process so that they will only send my return via electronic transfer to an account....which I obviously didnt enter!
How can H&R Block not know about this?
So far the process for dealing with the CP53E notice is ridiculous!
Thank You so much for this oversight on your part which is costing me a lot of time and frustration!
Needless to say, I have lost faith in your product
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Simple, quick, complete

Found several deductions I was not aware (new car purchase interest, etc.), and made filling out the State return (usually a chore) a very quick process. Nicely done!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

Good Value for the $$ AND EFFECTIVE!

I had been using Turbo Tax before....but switched to H&R Block tax software in 2020...and haven't looked back. H&R Block tax software is much more effective, informative and easier to use than TT. I could not be happier!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

What happened???

This is the first time I had trouble with your software. The updates came late which made filing difficult. There were some flaws in the software, it didn't ask me for my IP PIN in Miscellaneous which caused me to refile my taxes again causing me to loose a free e-file. This is so unfair!
