I have used this software for years but this year is the first year I imported data from financial institutions. What a god-send that was this year as my taxes were so much more complicated and that enabled me to continue to fill comfortable doing them mysel.

Works OK. Customer support lacking. Found an error in the software. After 3 separate 30 minute waiting on hold, never did get a follow-up on the error. Finally tricked the software in complying with the IRS rules. If you don't encounter any errors, it does work and will probably work for most folks. Error was related to excess HSA contribution.

Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used the H&R tax software since it came out. I find it easy to use. I like how it prompts you with questions. I also like how the state program is calculated from the federal program. I wish that they would offer a free state e-file instead of 5 free federal e-files.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Time consuming
