I have been using H&R Block since it was first called Tax Cut. I am a CPA, but tax is not my specialty. I rely on H&R Block software to get the details right and they do.

Software failed with second State download, worked second time, but charged me twice. Failed to submit another State, but charged me three times! No way to contact customer service, thank goodness I have good customer service with my credit card company

Cons: Didn't tell me that there's additional charge for paying the IRS with Credit card.

First very disappointed experience with the software. I've used it for probably 8 to 10 years. Will not use again. I had made an error, suggesting that in our joint return my wife had over contributed to her IRA and it had resulted in a 6300 tax burden, and then when I caught it and took it out, that tax penalty stayed. It wouldn't undo and correct itself. I had to start the entire return over and overwrite all the work I had done. It was absurd.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
