I appreciate keeping my information to myself rather than using a Tax Service. I first used H&R in the mid 90's when my tax preparer decided to go into another vocation. Left in the lurch, I bought an H&R program. Through the years, that is a lot of taxes!! My favorite part is that I can take my time, go back to a certain section and check my entries or change them. The program also guides you every step of the way. All this from the privacy of your own home!

Processed return electronically.
However, an update changed the save return after it was already sent electronically.
The refund was more than the original return called for , however it is less than what the updated version is.

I've used this software for many years, and for some reason, I found it difficult to navigate this year. I could find a form or interview for a form, but it constantly would continue on even if I had already completed a section. Also I had difficulty with my mileage deductions since I have two different C schedules, keep track of mileage for each one with the same vehicle, but the software would only take one deduction for the car rather than a separate deduction for the car for each business.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

Past-Years software does not state at the outset that "E-Filing" is usually NOT possible! This can delay laggards into a false sense of deadlines, and forthright expectations.
