You have an excellent product that I have used for literally decades. Most of the software is intuitive. But this year i had to pay on both the state and federal levels. This process was quite confusing to me and I'm still not sure I did it right. I paid someone. Hopefully the right people.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

I don't like the way that you treat backdoor Roth conversions. IRS requires a Form 8608 be submitted but your software didn't support that even though that help function says that the form is required.

Tax software worked ok, with 2 exceptions. The program would not import last years return info into this years return for my Mac. I tried several times to rectify the problem. The documentation on this process was minimal at best. The second issue, was a problem with PIN number for e-filing. Again. tried several things, gave up and had to mail in my return, by USPS. Not worth the money! After 6 years it’s time to try another program.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Different from turbo tax, self guided form completion, it was a bit hard to find the correct form. A bit hard to find rental property forms, interest, small business profit and loss

Product was easy to install and it imported my 2024 tax records OK from a competitive app. It just wasn't as intuitive on how to wrap up at the end and pay my taxes. I selected using a credit card but the tax records it printed gave me instructions on how to mail my check. Confusing!
